By monitoring specimen shipment instructions and/or expiry dates and using folders to query to identify those specimen that are due to be disposed or transferred, LabWare LIMS can be easily configured to address the biorepository’s unique workflow and communications requirements to manage specimen transfer and disposition. In the screenshot below a folder menu option is used to indicate that specimen have been disposed and an icon rule has been configured to display a “garbage can” to indicate that the specimen has been discarded.
