 | The LabWare LIMS Patient Manager module enables comprehensive control and retention of patient demographics, laboratory testing history, and other informational details.
Key features of the Patient Manager module include:
- Intuitive template-based design – this allows the customer to configure the behavior of their system for specific laboratories, process flows, specimen types, investigations, etc. Template properties include: required fields; browse criteria; use of quick codes; entry formatting and validation rules; and patient management process settings.
- Capability to attach pictures and other documents to patient records. This can be done by hyper linking to documents that are stored externally to the system, or they can be imported as “objects” and stored directly within the LIMS database.
- Integration of code dictionaries such as SNOMED and ICD with order template descriptive fields to automatically categorize patients and associated medical conditions.
- Management of insurance and billing information
- Tracking of hospital/clinic encounters
- Automatic monitoring of user access to Patient Records (i.e. when has a patient's record been accessed, and by whom).
- Seamless integration with the LabWare LIMS Order Manager module.
Rapid access to a patient's record is achieved using a configurable dialog-box user interface that provides the functions afforded by partial-match, wildcard and “sounds-like” algorithms. This dialog interface can be invoked throughout the workflow by configuring the system to offer it to authorized users wherever there is a need to access patient details.
Patient Manager also provides convenient, seamless access to specimen collection details, laboratory results, and data trends.
