LabWare, in partnership with Sedeer Medical, has secured its first order in Qatar this year, further extending and strengthening its presence in the Middle East. Qatar Fuel Additives Company Limited (QAFAC) is a major producer of Methanol and MTBE (the octane enhancer that is the main replacement for lead in unleaded gasoline) for domestic and worldwide consumption. The QAFAC LIMS implementation is off to a flying start - building on the LabWare LIMS Process Template solution - and is scheduled to go live in September from a rapid kick-off in June. Qatar has the second largest natural gas reserves in the world, after Russia, and major multi-billion dollar investments are being made in gas-related projects by the Qatar government and global industry partners. LabWare is working closely with our Middle East distributors Naizak and Sedeer Medical locally to extend our presence in this strategically important market.
