The Roche Center for Medical Genomics based in Basel, Switzerland, has chosen LabWare LIMS. The mission of the Roche Center for Medical Genomics (RCMG) is to apply genetic and genomic knowledge to the understanding of the molecular pathology of major human diseases leading to the discovery of new and more effective therapies. Research at the RCMG is focusing on: · Genetics, as a basis for understanding gene functions and the role of genes in diseases · Bioinformatics and computer-aided biology, for efficient use of new scientific data and findings · Functional genomics, as a basis for developing medicines and diagnostic tests that are individually tailored to patients' needs · Proteomics, to identify new marker proteins and new pathways in major disease areas LabWare LIMS will be used at RCMG to support the complex laboratory workflows and to store the huge amount of significant and valuable data.
