Instrument Calibration and Management

Within LabWare LIMS, the management of the instruments' calibration, preventive maintenance and service is provided via the Instrument Manager. This provides you with an easy way to manage the instruments, determine the status of an instrument and to review their history. The Instrument Manager is used to quickly retrieve information and to perform multiple events on the instrument, letting you choose whether to open one instrument, an instrument group or all instruments.

Calibration, preventive maintenance and service dates are used to automatically determine whether the instrument maintenance is up to date. Additionally, instruments may be put in or out of service. Configurable screens allows you to determine the information that is required to be entered during the maintenance, calibration and service events providing you with the complete service history of the instrument. Comments and information can be entered into the configurable screens provided, and external documents can be linked to the service history and easily retrieved.

In the case where an instrument is made up of separate parts that each require maintaining separately, LabWare LIMS provides facilities that allow you to group these individual instrument components together for effective management.
