Schedulers

One of the main advantages of a powerful LIMS is the ability to create samples and reports based on known schedules and sampling procedures. LabWare LIMS includes several features for defining and performing these activities. Each of these schedulers can create the samples, as well as provide information about future sampling and testing, in order to aid Capacity Planning. Activities can be run as repetitive events, so that they automatically occur on a regular basis, such as twice a week.

Activities can also be scheduled to run as Absolute Events on a Calendar. It is even possible to propagate an event in the Calendar Scheduler, like an End of Month report, and change the events individually.

The Process Scheduler can be used for the complete management of complex sample schedules, such as continuous monitoring and testing of sampling points. Each set of sampling points can be grouped together in a Process Unit, so that either a single sampling point or the entire Process Unit can be paused with a single click.

LabWare LIMS includes a holiday scheduler that stores information about your company's working schedule. This allows selected events to be delayed to the next full working day. The holiday schedule can be used to automatically determine due dates for samples taking non-working days into account.

The Water Scheduler included within LabWare LIMS manages the collection and testing of water samples, as well as other types of environmental or frequency-based samples. Zones, Sources and Sampling Points can be defined, and each sampling event can be associated with one or more collection runs. The testing to be performed can be re-scheduled as desired. The full power of LabWare LIMS can be used to process the samples.
