 | Occasionally you may be asked to produce a report needing information from the LIMS on a ASAP basis. In situations where you may not have a pre-built Crystal Report that meets the exact needs of the requestor, you can use LabWare's Data Explorer to setup a quick query of the LIMS database to extract the information you are looking for in a hurry. Data Explorer is simple to learn and uses Query By Example (QBE) that enables you to quickly create database queries with minimal effort and knowledge of the LabWare database structure.
Functional security privileges control access to functionality in the Data Explorer as well as who can access the Data Explorer tool. The query results are immediately displayed below the query criteria providing instant feedback on whether your query conditions provide the results you are looking for. Once you have the data you need, you can export the information to Microsoft Excel, or an ASCII text file, or a LabWare Sample Folder where you can drill down on the samples or use standard LabWare Reporting tools to print the data.
