WebLIMS™ Runs on Google Chrome Browser without Modification Proving Java EE Standard and Zero Footprint Design in a Complex Application
WILMINGTON, DE (September 5, 2008) – LabWare, Inc., a world leader in enterprise Laboratory Information Management Systems (LIMS), demonstrated LabWare LIMS on the recently announced Google Chrome web browser. LabWare LIMS offers a zero footprint client that delivers a rich user experience in a complex application.
LabWare LIMS is a functionally rich, multi-tiered application used in hundreds of enterprise implementations around the world. Today’s users demand full access to their applications from any location using any device. LabWare recognized the Java EE standard and techniques such as AJAX programming meet that demand without sacrificing a rich user environment.
An important proof of that approach is in the demonstration of LabWare’s web interface on Chrome. The recent demonstration showed full functionality without modification of either the application or the Chrome browser; no downloads or plug-ins of any kind were required. The demonstration was a bold proof statement of the Java EE standard and LabWare’s Configure Once, Deploy Anywhere ™ design and of the speed and applicability of the Chrome browser.
LabWare’s web interface provides customers the ability to easily deliver their current implementations in a web architecture without reimplementation. The users may continue to leverage LabWare LIMS extensive and proven functionality without a change to their current implementation. This approach provides the technical leap customers demand without the high cost of a new enterprise application implementation.
