LabWare Unveils Its Revolutionary New LabWare Web LIMS Product at PITTCONŽ 2003

ORLANDO, FL (March 10, 2003) – LabWare, Inc., a global leader in supplying mission-critical Laboratory Information Management Systems (LIMS) and instrument interfacing software announced today, at The Pittsburgh Conference, that it has introduced a revolutionary new product; LabWare Web LIMS. The product is being widely acclaimed by customers and industry commentators alike. LabWare Web LIMS fully embraces the Web paradigm without requiring customers, using the existing Client/Server LIMS product, to make any configuration changes. Through the use of novel technology from LabWare, users are afforded the choice of interacting with the LIMS either via the Web LIMS, or the Client/Server LIMS, or a combination of both using exactly the same LIMS configuration!
Labware Web LIMS is designed to run on any J2EE-based Web Application Server without requiring the deployment of any applets. The new Web user interface runs on the existing LIMS configuration and therefore honors all business rules, template configurations, and security settings the customer has established. One of the time consuming challenges facing Information Technology departments today is managing change control on the desktop. LabWare Web LIMS requires zero footprint on the desktop, enabling a company to efficiently deploy and maintain LIMS across the enterprise while eliminating the need to install software on the desktop.
