Police Forensics
 | LabWare LIMS is used in a wide range of forensic applications including DNA fingerprinting, firearms and evidence management.
Users can navigate through the system by using LabWare's Visual Workflows that follows exactly any given user's practices. Once logged on, a user will be presented with the main screen. This screen provides the route to all other Visual Workflows that the user requires. What they see will match what they need to perform their work, and they will not be presented with any functionality that they are not privileged to use.
When a user wants to receive samples they are presented with the Sample Reception screen where they can choose the type of samples to be received from those that they have access to.
Batches can be selected for transfer to the plate system, and LabWare has built bi-directional communications to automated plate tube systems so that the transfer can be activated from external systems. In extraction, there are many functions that can be performed including selecting batches, identifying reagents, along with the ability to perform batch activities such as assigning, unassigning and accepting batches. Reports can be viewed from these screens also. Visual Workflows can match corporate identities and provide an easy mechanism to use LabWare LIMS.
LabWare LIMS functions equally well in centralized or decentralized deployments, and offers a variety of tools for synchronizing and controlling business rules and data definition across a distributed enterprise.
