The LabWare validation strategy is distilled down into a tailored validation plan which outlines tasks, responsibilities, and deliverables, and is developed as part of each LIMS or ELN project plan. Although LabWare provides the customer with vendor software validation deliverables, a client may decide they need additional validation documentation. Using Industry Template offerings, the LabWare Validation Services team has a library of documentation and templates that can be leveraged as is or tailored to provide validation deliverables.

LabWare has a rigorous software quality release methodology. Each of the LabWare Validation Services team members have access to and knowledge of the documented, extensive product FAT testing. Using these resources, LabWare can best focus the clients’ validation efforts on those areas of configuration that pose risk and not re-test functionality that have been proven by the vendor.

Keep in mind that a successful project starts with well defined requirements. The root cause of cost and time over-runs is most frequently traced back to poorly defined requirements. LabWare works with clients to assure their requirements are the solid foundation on which to build the project. LabWare Services consultants then involve the client to determine an acceptable risk level based approach to address customers’ particular requirements (vendor audit, regulatory impact, configuration, complexity). The recommended testing or verification can take the form of checklists, spiral configuration reviews, test scripts, or use cases.

LabWare Services consultants are extremely familiar with LabWare LIMS / ELN applications. There is no learning curve to climb. Furthermore, LabWare consultants’ extensive experience in test case development provides customers with effective, efficient and compliant test scenarios.

Additionally, LabWare Validation Services has many years experience in replacing legacy systems. To that end, LabWare can provide validation services around compliant legacy system retirement and data migration, where applicable.
