Job Description
LabWare Europe has immediate openings for Senior LabWare Consultants. LabWare is interested in energetic, highly motivated team players to join the Services team that is responsible for the design, configuration, deployment, validation, and support of LabWare solutions.
Services Responsibilities and Expectations:
- Provide Implementation Services to our customers using LabWare Solutions and Products. This may include:
- Business analysis, data architecture and Gap Fit workshops
- Configuration, unit testing and validation
- Enhancements and upgrades
- Integrate LabWare with external applications and instruments
- Work with LabWare Service Delivery Managers and Senior Management
- Develop and maintain superior LabWare product knowledge
- Adhere to LabWare’s Best Practice solutions and avoid excessive use of LIMS Basic
- Be able to conduct code reviews of others against the LabWare configuration guidelines
- Train and mentor other consultants as needed
- Participate in the on-going improvement of our products and services
- Comply with our QA system and Consultant Certification program
- Timely submission of Time/Expense/Status Reports
Technical Skills:
Ideally, you will have experience in some of the following:- 5+ years’ experience designing, configuring and deploying LabWare LIMS or ELN
- Experience in other laboratory software solutions will be considered
- Databases – e.g. Oracle / SQL / Postgres
- Server-based architecture, Web deployments, Citrix deployments, web services.
- LIMS Basic programming, XML, HTML, Crystal Reports
- Laboratory instrument interfacing, ERP systems interfacing
- Familiarity with laboratory workflows
Additional Requirements and Soft Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree or higher, preferably in IT, Chemistry or Biology
- Must be fluent in English - Additional European languages would be desirable
- Strong desire to build a long-term career with LabWare
- Drive to deliver great projects on-time and on budget
- Positive attitude, ability to influence customers and establish consensus
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills (verbal and written)
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

The consultant’s role is to proactively guide and assist customers in implementing and operating LIMS and Electronic Lab Notebook (ELN) systems. The consultant is responsible for promoting the "best-practice" adoption of the LabWare Solutions Suite and ensures a successful engagement with LabWare over the lifetime of the system. The position would be ideally suited to an experienced LIMS professional, but we will also consider applications from recent Science or Informatics graduates. In the case of science graduates (Chemistry or Biology), the candidate should demonstrate a strong affinity for Information Technology. Exposure to databases and programming would be particularly useful.

Habilidades Requeridas
- ·Licenciatura en Ciencias o superior de una universidad acreditada
- 5 años o más trabajando en un laboratorio
- Fortaleza en el análisis y la resolución de problemas, así como también en la atención al detalle
- Capacidad y disposición para trabajar de forma independiente y en equipo
- Proveer servicio orientado al cliente, demostrar auto-motivación y alta dedicación
- Gran capacidad para relaciones interpersonales y de comunicación, tanto verbales como escritas
- Actitud positiva, capacidad de motivar a los clientes y establecer la credibilidad
- Más de 1 año de experiencia en el diseño, configuración y/o implementación de soluciones LabWare.
- El dominio de los productos de Microsoft Office (PowerPoint, Word, Excel, Access).

Responsabilidades
- Interface com clientes para estabelecer os requisitos de usuários.
- Design, configuração, teste de unidades e implementação de produtos LabWare.
- Desenvolver e implementar interfaces com aplicativos externos.
- Implementar integração de instrumentos com produtos LabWare.
- Criar, projetar e revisar projetos de um sistema em conceito antes do início concreto do desenvolvimento e configuração.
- Treinar e orientar técnicos e consultores.
- Ser capaz de explicar o design para os clientes de forma clara, concisa e compreensível.
- Comunicar-se com a diretoria ou patrocinadores do projeto no cliente.
- Compreender claramente as restrições de tempo e orçamento e assumir a responsabilidade de alertar os responsáveis em caso de riscos detectados ou necessidade de acompanhamento mais cuidadoso.
- Aconselhar consultores e técnicos sobre as melhores práticas para implementação da LabWare.
- Ser identificado como especialista em diversas áreas-chave de configuração.
Requisitos Técnicos
- Formação superior completa.
- Proficiência em inglês avançada - oral e escrita.
- Experiência em design, configuração e implementação de soluções de software.
- Conhecimentos sólidos sobre bancos de dados (Oracle/SQL/PostgreSQL).
- Conhecimento de Citrix / VMware.
- Conhecimento de Apache Tomcat / WebLogic.
- Conhecimento em comunicação webservices SOAP/REST.
- Conhecimento em ferramentas de gestão de informações de processos MES/PIMS.
- Conhecimento em módulos de qualidade de ERPs.
- Sistema operacional – conhecimentos de Windows e Unix.
